- Biography:
Shaveesa is a friendly and kind-hearted young lady. She is lovable and full of hope for her future. Shaveesa would very much like that future to include a family that she can call her very own.
Shaveesa enjoys playing cards and board games, watching basketball, reading, and writing in her journal. She hopes that she’ll be able to play recreational basketball or take dance lessons soon. Shaveesa was recently diagnosed with diabetes and has been working on developing better eating habits. As a result, she has begun to lose some weight and feel better about herself. She does a great job at checking her blood sugar levels and calculating if she needs insulin and how much. Shaveesa also enjoys being given responsibilities and her chores are generally done well and with little prompting. Like most children, she enjoys the praise she receives, and this helps her self-esteem greatly.
Shaveesa attends a smaller class at school where she receives assistance and is better able to maintain appropriate conduct and stay on task. Her caretakers report that she continues to make progress at school.
Shaveesa is easy to love. She has been in foster care most of her life and needs a family to help her deal with all the pain and loss that she has experienced. That family would need to be committed to Shaveesa, and help her to always feel loved and secure.
